Proceed slowly towards the back entrance of the school where administrators and staff will be waiting to greet the approaching cars. Students will be able to exit the vehicle to pick up their materials off of the table. There will also be an opportunity for parents to take a quick picture. We would like to have students participate in creating posters on bristol board or banners that we can post on school property along the drive-thru route to congratulate the grade five students and express best wishes. If your child or family would be interested in making one, please drop off to the school by Tuesday, June 16th. A box will be provided in the front entrance to leave them in. Please buzz at the entrance, as our building is not open to the public at this time. Please return all borrowed library books or classroom books/materials at the time of the drive-thru ceremony if you have not done so already. If you are unable to pick up the report card on June 17th (raindate June 18th), please inform the homeroom teacher so that arrangements can be made for an appointment time. Have a great week! I look forward to seeing you! Janie Belliveau Anglophone East resources: http://web1.nbed.nb.ca/sites/ASD-E/SitePages/LearningAtHome.aspx May 1st 2020 - Information on picking up your child's belongings *Please ask your child his/her locker number and combination prior to coming to school. You will need to empty out your childs locker. ***School materials such as books (most students have French books that they have brought home) will be picked up at a later date. Please store them in a safe place for now. Please find attached the plan for collecting your child’s belongings from school. In keeping with the province’s protocols for social distancing and maintaining safety, please read the attachment carefully so you are aware of the process for Wednesday, May 6th and Thursday, May 7th. There are specific times outlined in the attachment for parents to come based on a child’s last name. Over the weekend, a copy of the plan attached for retrieving student belongings will be posted on the music room’s window located next to front entrance of the school. We ask that only ONE adult comes to school. If possible, please do not bring your child with you unless you need their help retrieving items from their classroom and locker. Please remember that this is a quick in and out of the school. If you bring your child with you , please explain to them that due to social distancing, staff have been instructed to only give a quick waive, smile and a “virtual hug” . We all must abide by the established safety guidelines. A reminder that parents are only permitted to enter the school if they: · Do not have a fever, cough, or difficulty breathing · Have not traveled outside of New Brunswick in the last 14 days · Have not had contact with a confirmed COVID-19 case Students are permitted to come into the school only if the ONE parent entering the school requires their help. Students are not permitted on the school playground. Parking for collection days will be in Kiss and Ride and the staff parking lot. Any medications here at school (EpiPen, puffers etc.) will be bagged and labelled for you to pick up at your child’s homeroom. I thank you in advanced for your patience on Wednesday and Thursday as we move parents through the school as safely and quickly as possible. Janie Belliveau Anglophone East resources: http://web1.nbed.nb.ca/sites/ASD-E/SitePages/LearningAtHome.aspx April 20th 2020 Good morning! I hope you had a great weekend! The weather was absolutely beautiful! Good news, we will still be having a yearbook this year. The company would like to have a page of what the students were up to during the school closure. If you would like to participate, you can send me a picture of your child demonstrating what they have been up to these past weeks! Also, we will still be having an art contest for the cover page of the yearbook. Your child can draw a picture on a regular piece of white paper. The drawing must represent what EPS is all about! You can then send me a clear picture of the drawing that I will forward to Mrs. Panagiotakis. The pictures need to be sent in by May 15th. Also, this week I will be sending you an email with a link, username and password of a great website to practice French reading (if you haven’t already received it). This week, you can: -Move and read (in French and in English). -Draw a cover for the yearbook. -Write in French and in English (there are journal options on my website). -Practice multiplication and division facts. -Watch a science video. -Any activities from the Anglophone East website or my website. *Don’t forget these are just suggestions.
